Pastor Eric A. Wilson, Sr.
Pastor Eric Wilson Sr. is a Native Houstonian, a graduate of Phyllis Wheatley High School, and a graduate with honors from the Commonwealth Institute of Funeral Services. He also attended Houston College of Biblical Studies, Texas College of Biblical Studies, and Bishop College.
His secular work careers include employment with Hughes Tools Co. as a Machine Operator, Harris County as a Building Supervisor and Plant Operator, Exxon Company U.S.A., Baytown Refinery, and Paradise Cemetery as a Cemetery, Carl Barnes Funeral Home as Manager and Funeral Director in Charge. Pastor Wilson is currently employed with Pruitt’s in the Heights. He also has been a member of the Baptist Minister Alliance of Greater Houston and Vicinity. He is currently a member of Metropolitan Minister Alliance, Union Baptist Association, and Lincoln Southern District Association where he has served as Vice President of the Minster's Conference and Vice Moderator of the Association. He is currently President of the Association’s Ministers Conference. He is also President of The Spring Community Development Corporation. Pastor Wilson is also a Charter Member of the Old Town Spring Heights Task Force ( now known as Old Town Spring Heights Community Association, where he serves as Vice President of the Assembly).
Pastor Wilson holds offices and maintains affiliations with Texas Southeast COGIC Jurisdiction, Texas South Central COGIC Jurisdiction, BM & E State Convention, Houston Metropolitan Ministers Conference, and the Re-Elect Mayor Turner Campaign. Pastor Wilson was acknowledged and awarded Funeral Director of the Year in 2017 and 2018 by Service Corporation Incorporated for his Service Excellence while a member of the staff at Carl Barnes Funeral Home.
