Life's Journey

La Vella Denise Francois, affectionately known as "Dena" was born on August 26, 1972 in Houston, Texas. She was the child of Vanessa Francois and Aaron Hicks.
La Vella graduated from Evan E. Worthing High School in 1990. She also attended Texas Southern University.
La Vella was a member of Jones Chapel A.M.E. church under the leadership of Pastor Robert Green, she often professed her love for God in her conversations and she knew God loved her.
La Vella loved people, all people, she was well known for being kind, lots of laughter, traveling, dancing, and eating a variety of foods.
She loved spending time with her family and friends. She had a giving heart and always had your back even if you were doing something foolish (LOL). Dena was simply love in action; she was the life of the party!
