Obituary For James Glenn Thompson Jr.
James Glenn Thompson Jr. was born on January 25, 1964 to the proud parents of Willie Mae Kemp and James Glenn Thompson Sr. in Houston, Texas. James accepted Christ at an early age and attended 34th Temple Church of God In Christ under the Pastorage of the late Rev. Lee E. Woods Sr. James met the love of his life Wendolyn on January 17, 2016 and were soon united in marriage on December 3, 2017. James attended Ebenezer United Methodist Church with his wife Wendolyn under the Pastorage leadership of Rev. Dr. Francis E.W. Guidry. James faithfully attended church services, Sunday School, and then became a member of the Ebenezer Great Male Chorus.
James attended John F. Kennedy Elementary School, Our Mother of Mercy Catholic School, and then graduated from Booker T. Washington High School. He later went on to Houston Community College and received an Associates Degree in Culinary Arts.
James was a big Houston Texans fan and enjoyed cooking , traveling , music, and being with his family. James was a people person; no matter where he was, he always made a friend. If you did not know him at first, by the end of the conversation you would know all about him and his family. He was one in million.
James Glenn Thompson Jr. departed from earth on November 19, 2021. He is preceded in death by his parents: Mrs. Willie Mae and Mr. James Glenn Thompson Sr.
He leaves to cherish the loving memories, his wife-Mrs. Wendolyn (Wendy) Norman-Thompson; Step-son -Jahmal Smith (Darlene Aguigui) ; Step-daughter- Ms. Ebony Smith; Mother-In-Law-Mrs. Saunaie Brown; Sister-In-Law-Courtney Brown Wilson; Nieces - Daysha Martin and Sydney Wilson and nephew-Jashun Spriggs. His sister-Mrs. Shaunique Morton and Brother-in-law-Mr. Andre (Andy) Morton and nephew-Ian Morton. He also has a host of beloved aunts, uncles, cousins and many close family members and friends.
