Darvin (DJ), my son-in-love, this doesn't seem real. But I know God do not make mistakes. He only picks the best..I remember meeting you at T's wedding and you was introduced as Shayla's boyfriend. I told you I had to do a back ground check on you. You laughed and from that day forward, you have kept that smile and laugh going the last 11 yrs. Thank you for loving my daughter with the upmost respect and love a man can give a woman. Son you completed our family and there will be so many things we will miss like XMAS...It was always the Shayla and DJ show..(LOL), Cooking special dishes just for you or hearing those words "is it pork or beef"...(tears). I know you was looking forward to being an awesome dad again, but no worries, Shayla has a village of family and friends that will see her through and make you proud.. Love you Son

Darvin, you were a solid and all-around good natured individual. I could instantly tell you cared a lot about your son - by the way you'd always speak of him. You used to laugh at me when I'd crack jokes and/or have unfiltered situational responses at work and that made my job in training you worthwhile. I am and will forever be grateful I got the chance to exchange frequencies with you at KPH on unit 300. You were such an asset to the 7pm shift. My heartfelt condolences to your mother, son, fiancée, family and friends. You will be missed by so, so many and may your soul Rest in Peace <3.
